This Privacy Policy explains how Tidal Markets (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use tidal.markets (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address, used to create your account and to sign you in via magic link.
- Subscription & payment information. When you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; we retain a Stripe customer identifier and your plan status to manage your subscription.
- Usage information. Basic technical and usage data (e.g., pages viewed, watchlist contents, device/browser type, and log data) used to operate and improve the Service.
- Cookies. We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management, and to remember preferences such as your selected theme.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and secure the Service and your account.
- To process subscriptions, billing, and tier entitlements.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and service changes.
- To monitor, debug, and improve performance and reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the Service, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
- Railway — backend data-processing infrastructure.
- Our email provider — delivering sign-in links and account emails.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
4. Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data (see “Your rights”). Some records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., billing records).
5. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@tidal.markets. You can manage your subscription and payment method at any time from your account’s billing portal.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International users
We operate the Service in the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be processed in the U.S. and other countries with different data-protection laws than your own.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
